Esteban is a North Philadelphia native who, along with his local, consistently serves his community and contributes to the March of Dimes, as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Food for the Poor, the American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, and many other organizations. The March of Dimes is near to Esteban&#8217;s heart as one of his children was born premature. His healthy, grown daughter proudly stood with him on stage and thanked everyone for donating to such a worthy cause.<\/p>\n<p>The Transportation Project of the Year was awarded to DRPA\/PATCO for the Ben Franklin Bridge PATCO Track Rehabilitation. The Sustainability Project of the Year Award was given to the Center City District for Rail Park, and the new Roosevelt Leadership Award was presented to Jeffrey D. Knueppel, PE, General Manager of SEPTA.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s event raised over $610,000 to help fund prenatal wellness initiatives and provide neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) family support programs. The March of Dimes also supports research at Pennsylvania hospitals and universities to prevent birth defects, premature births, and infant mortality.
