The expansion included a four-lane TSA security checkpoint equipped with advanced screening equipment, secure exit lanes for inbound passengers, and new elevators and escalators to improve accessibility and vertical circulation. Other notable improvements to improve passenger comfort, included new restrooms, digital wayfinding signage, dynamic glazing, enhanced air purification system and improved air circulation.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/anastacia-michigan-named-40-under-40-award-winner\/\">Anastacia Michigan<\/a>, PE, LEED Green Associate, Sr. Mechanical Engineer stated, <em><strong>\u201cThe LVIA Terminal Connector project highlights Arora\u2019s commitment to our clients. The design for this project occurred during the global pandemic, so indoor air quality was critical for employee and passenger health and general comfort around travel. By working with the airport to implement strategies to provide higher air quality, we provided a safer traveling experience.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/welcome-richard-c-young-sr-project-manager\/\">Richard C. Young<\/a>, AIA, NCARB, Sr. Project Manager stated <em><strong>&#8220;As Architects and Engineers the goal for every project is to enhance the human experience and with the Lehigh Valley International Airport Connector project, Arora and the Design Team, along with the benefit of an engaged and innovative client, have achieved that goal. This project has taken on some of the most ominous aspects of air travel and has made them easier and more pleasant, thus reducing the stress associated with travel.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The project team utilized advanced project management tools and careful planning to overcome supply chain disruptions, adverse weather conditions, and unique and challenging geological conditions to deliver this critical project on-schedule and below budget.
