Since 2013, Arora has held a contract for On-Call Planning, Architectural, and Engineering Services with the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA). To date, Arora has successfully completed over 15 task orders for environmental assessments, grant administration, and various facility improvements for LNAA as part of its capital improvement program. Two significant task orders included performing environmental assessments to obtain clearance for the construction of a FedEx Ground Distribution Center and the design of a Multimodal Transportation Facility.<\/p>\n
Arora led the coordination, development, and approval of the Environmental Assessment process to release airport land for the construction of a FedEx Ground Distribution Center on 288.3 acres of airport property. 23 impact categories were evaluated, resulting in a finding of no detrimental environmental impacts. The FAA concurred, issuing a Finding of No Significant Impact\/Record of Decision, which was the final document needed to release the land for non-aeronautical development. Arora’s efforts resulted in successful completion within ten months. Construction of the FedEx Ground Distribution Center is scheduled to begin this year.<\/p>\n
Arora is also providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, wayfinding, and security design services for a new Multimodal Transportation Facility at Lehigh Valley International Airport. The project includes a terminal expansion, roadway improvements, and demolition of an existing fire house and rental car maintenance facility. The new facility will be constructed within the footprint of the existing rental car pickup lot. Upon completion, the new facility will consolidate rental car operations, provide bus shuttle service, and increase the level of service for airport passengers and employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
