Raelyn Williams, Sr. Human Resources Generalist at Arora Engineers, Inc.<\/a> as well as Office Manager for Electronic Data, Inc.<\/a>, is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance for all aspects of the human resources function while focusing on company values. Her areas of expertise include recruitment and staffing, employee relations, and benefits management. Raelyn is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Learn more about Raelyn below:<\/p>\n

1. How did you come to do what you do? Was this a lifelong goal?<\/strong>
\nI started my career in Human Resources over 12 years ago where I held several corporate HR roles at one of the largest privately held HR outsourcing companies in the United States. Since the company was so big, I was able to hold full time roles doing each piece of HR for several years at a time. During this time, I was enrolled in college pursuing a degree in Psychology, because I genuinely enjoyed helping others figure out solutions to their problems. I realized that within the field of Human Resources, I was able to fulfill this goal and the variety of tasks better fit my work style. Since then, I\u2019ve continued to gather knowledge, as well as experience in the HR field, and apply it to my career over the years.<\/p>\n

2. What do you enjoy most about working at Arora?<\/strong>
\nI enjoy both my colleagues and the diversity of my role! I love being able to work as a team on a variety of projects and offer my knowledge while also learning from those that I work closely with.<\/p>\n

3. What motivates you every day?<\/strong>
\nWorking for a company that I value and that I feel values me in return. Helping others and the challenges that come along definitely motivate me to consistently remain open to learning more and taking on different opportunities that align me for the next challenge or opportunity.<\/p>\n

4. What makes you unique and different?<\/strong>
\nFrom a work standpoint, I\u2019m able to sit back, analyze, and see things from several different angles. This allows me to evaluate and make the best possible decisions. From a personal standpoint at work, I love to dress up in bold colors\/styles each day in the office.<\/p>\n

5. What are your favorite types of projects to work on?<\/strong>
\nI enjoy working on creative projects that focus on employee engagement. On the other hand, I also enjoy gathering data for special projects.<\/p>\n

6. What are your future career goals?<\/strong>
\nI\u2019m continuing to expand my knowledge within the field of HR by taking courses and studying relative information that can help expand my personal knowledge base.<\/p>\n

7. Tell us what your day-to-day looks like at Arora.<\/strong>
\nMy day-to-day is productive with a variety of tasks that I\u2019m consistently prioritizing. My role is unique as I am the Senior Human Resources Generalist for Arora and I also am the Office Manager for Electronic Data, Inc. (EDI)<\/a>. On any given day, you can find me maintaining employee data and company benefit plans, processing company payroll, as well as gathering data for special projects and audits. Most recently, I\u2019ve taken on the role of continuing to embed the \u201cTake Flight\u201d<\/a> communications framework through the organization. It is a very fun and engaging communication program that helps introduce the \u201cTake Flight\u201d communication strategies that are aligned with each person\u2019s communication style. The end goal is to continuously develop better communication techniques with our peers.<\/p>\n

8. What is the best career lesson you\u2019ve learned so far?<\/strong>
\nA little (or a lot) of progress each day adds up to big results, consistency has always been the key.<\/p>\n

9. What has been your favorite memory while working at Arora?<\/strong>
\nThe great individuals that I\u2019ve met within the organization and getting to know them over time. A few months after I started, I was invited out to dinner with those that I hadn\u2019t met from the corporate office, and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone amongst delicious food.<\/p>\n

10. Outside of work, what do you like to do for fun?<\/strong>
\nI love spending time with my family either indoor watching movies while eating a good meal or outside enjoying sunny weather while lounging by the pool. I have a passion for fashion, I love assembling creative style combinations when it comes to outfits. I love crafting; specifically making sarcastic or witty worded T-shirts. I enjoy rollerblading when I get a chance and basketball and baseball are my favorite sports to play and watch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
