(Arora) was featured in the September 2021 issue of <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.viewer.zmags.com\/publication\/7d4e53a3#\/7d4e53a3\/18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Passenger Terminal World<\/em><\/a> in an article entitled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/secure.viewer.zmags.com\/publication\/7d4e53a3#\/7d4e53a3\/18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Treasure<\/a>.&#8221; The article discusses the new 14-gate concourse that opened at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/project\/ronald-reagan-national-airport-terminal-b-c-redevelopment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)<\/a> this past April of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Arora provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire\/Life Safety design within the Air Alliance joint venture, comprised of <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AECOM<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pgal.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PGAL<\/a>., which delivered Project Journey al Reagan National Airport (DCA). The project included the relocation of the Airport Corporate Offices to Historic Terminal A, a new North Concourse with an addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/project\/ronald-reagan-national-airport-terminal-b-c-redevelopment\/\">Terminal B\/C<\/a> to facilitate expanded airline operations with 14 new gates, several concessions spaces and airport operations, as well as a new secure national hall.<\/p>\n<p>Arora&#8217;s Chief Operating Officer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/company\/leadership\/mark-mosko\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Mosko, AIA, NCARB<\/a>, remarks that there was a strong relationship between the Air Alliance partners and the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority (MWAA) going into the project. &#8220;Collectively, we provided a cohesive, balanced design response&#8221; Mosko says. Arora diversified from its MEP origins to offer services that address the entire design lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was completed three months ahead of schedule. The virtual environment also enabled designers scattered across the eastern seaboard to meet, identify issues and resolve them at a moment&#8217;s notice. Arora&#8217;s Mid-Atlantic Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/company\/leadership\/jocelyn-dugdale-bernhardt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jocelyn Dugdale Bernhardt<\/a>, says that working remotely ultimately made the team stronger. &#8220;Technology allowed us to share photos and video. It made designers look at everything, not just their own disciplines&#8221; says Bernhardt.<\/p>\n<p>Arora&#8217;s involvement with DCA doesn&#8217;t end with Project Journey.
