(Arora) attended the <a href=\"https:\/\/phl.org\/newsroom\/PG-facility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Groundbreaking Ceremony<\/a> for the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phl.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)<\/a> Pavement and Grounds (P&amp;G) Facility project. Arora is providing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/mechanical-and-plumbing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mechanical<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/electrical\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Electrical<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/fire-and-life-safety\/\">Fire\/Life Safety<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/mechanical-and-plumbing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plumbing<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/special-systems\/\">Special Systems<\/a> Engineering Services as a subconsultant to <a href=\"https:\/\/aecom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AECOM<\/a>, as well as Construction Management and Inspection Services on the project.<\/p>\n<p>This new P&amp;G Facility (Building A) will be the headquarters for the crews that maintain PHL\u2019s runways, taxiways, aprons, ramps, and roads. Building A is a one-story administration building of approximately 9,000 square feet that will provide office workspaces, men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s locker rooms with toilet and shower facilities, recreational and dining areas, support spaces and separate woman&#8217;s and men&#8217;s dayrooms. The building will also be equipped with HVAC, sprinklers, Life Safety, access control and security systems. This $20 million project is scheduled to be completed by March 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Those present at the <a href=\"https:\/\/phl.org\/newsroom\/PG-facility\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Groundbreaking Ceremony<\/a> included facility\u2019s design team and prime contractors, airport P&amp;G and Facilities &amp; Maintenance team leaders and members, the City of Philadelphia and Division of Aviation procurement staff, as well as members of PHL\u2019s Capital Development Group.<\/p>\n<p>Chellie Cameron, Chief Executive Officer at Philadelphia International Airport, kicked off the ceremony remarking that this is a long-awaited project that has been in the works since September of 2015 when PHL approved the design of three buildings, an eight-bay garage, and a storage shed. \u201cI\u2019m sure we are all relieved to see this construction finally begin. Through it all, the Pavement and Grounds team has maintained PHL\u2019s runways, taxiways, aprons, ramps and roads under the most challenging of conditions\u201d said PHL CEO Chellie Cameron.<\/p>\n<p>Arora is proud to be part of the team for this exciting project.
