Arora was part of the team along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.messer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Messer Construction Company<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/moodynolan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moody Nolan<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icthomasson.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I. C. Thomasson Associates, Inc.<\/a> providing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/special-systems\/\">Special Systems<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/expertise\/disciplines\/special-systems\/\">IT Design services<\/a> for this project.<\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, which owns and operates BNA, approved an airport-wide expansion program called BNA Vision that includes plans to construct three connected parking garages with approximately 7,000 total parking spaces. This would help to increase parking capacity to match the ongoing passenger growth at BNA. The first of the new garages, named Terminal Garage 2, provided 2,200 additional parking spaces, and the second facility, Terminal Garage 1, added 2,800 more spaces. The third garage will have 1,800 more parking spaces and is scheduled to open in late 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Technology wise, the new garages include Park Assist, an automated system that uses lights and sensors to guide drivers to rows with open parking spaces. The facilities also have kiosks that help customers who forget where they parked. These kiosks tie into the structures\u2019 closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, which read and record license plate information as vehicles enter. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aroraengineers.com\/company\/leadership\/jason-shevrin\/\">Jason Shevrin, PE, DSCE<\/a>, Chief Compliance Officer at Arora, explains that the garage has nearly 100% CCTV coverage. \u201cIt\u2019s a great element for the airport to maintain safety and security.\u201d says Shevrin.<\/p>\n<p>Sheeba Money, Special Systems Designer at Arora, also notes that the boardroom and conference rooms in the new Airport Administration Building is equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual systems. This will help ensure that the facility\u2019s Wi-Fi is able to reach to the outdoor plaza area so staff can stay connected even when outside the building.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to the entire project team for your hard work and dedication to this project.
